Hi everyone! I’m Lucy; the founder, owner, secretary, accountant, sales person, social media creator…pretty much the everything to Little Dots Boutique.  For the most part it’s just me, with the occasional help from my husband, when I rope him in, if I need a hand with heavy lifting for big event set ups!  When I’m not wearing my Little Dots hat, I’m a Mum to two beautiful little boys, who also love to help where they can, my in-house toy testers and market stall rearrangers! I also work part time as a personal assistant. 

Little Dots Boutique was born whilst I was on maternity leave with my youngest.  Navigating the chaos and beauty of motherhood for a second time, but this time through lock down.  With spending more time than ever in our home, it really made me start to look at things and realise how many baby and toddler products were disposable, plastic and unsightly.  Not just the toys they play with, but the clothes they wear, the things we choose to decorate their rooms with, the plates and forks we use to feed them with. 

So I found myself searching for products that were safe and functional for my little one’s, but also sustainable and nice to look at! The more I searched, the more I realised that there was a lack of places where you could find this all in one place.

That’s when the idea of Little Dots Boutique began.  I wanted to create a space for like minded Mum’s, Dad’s, Grandparents, friends, carers; anyone who wants to add some sustainability to their home space.  Those who value sustainably sourced and made items that are thoughtfully designed, but also support thier little ones as they grow, learn and play.  Every item that I have chosen has been picked with this purpose: to offer a sustainable alternative, that is kind to the planet, safe for tiny hands, supportive of early learning and development and designed to look and feel like they belong in your home.  I hope to be able to continue to expand the range of products I provide, so that I truly can offer a sustainable alternative to as many baby and toddler products as possible. 

My little business is more than just a shop; it’s a passion built around what I care about.  As a small business, even if I just make one sale, it means that someone has picked me over a big, well known brand, and that, to me, means the world.  So I want to say a massive thank you to all of you that shop and support small businesses.
